The World Sports Yukigassen Federation (WSYF) is an organization that promotes “Yukigassen” as a sport all around the world and trains players and referees and holds world championship. Let the Sports Yukigassen Federations around the world get together and make Yukigassen an official event of the Winter Olympic Games.

世界スポーツ雪合戦連盟（ＷＳＹＦ）は、雪合戦を世界中にスポーツとして普及させ、選手、審判員を育成し、世界選手権を行う団体です。各国の雪合戦連盟が加盟して、オリンピック冬季競技大会の公式競技にしよう。

“Yukigassen” is a winter fun with making snow balls and throwing them at each other. WSYF has turned it into a sports event by holding “Yukigassen” matches and making rules and named it “Sports Yukigassen”. Ball games usually have just one ball in a game, but in a “Yukigassen” match, the players make 90 snowballs per set and a total of 270 snowballs in a 3-sets match using exclusive snowball making machines. The players throw those snowballs at the opponents. Each team consists of seven players who are divided into forwards and backs. Each position has its own roles to throw snowballs at the opponents to take the flag of the opponents’ court. It is a very exciting and competitive game that requires strategy. We will spread “Yukigassen” as a new winter sport all over the world. Let's aim for the world's best together.

雪合戦は、雪を丸めて球を作り、投げ合う遊びからはじまりました。WSYFは、この雪合戦をスポーツ競技として、ルールを作り、スポーツ雪合戦と名付けました。球技スポーツは、一つのボールを追いかける事がほとんどですが、このスポーツ雪合戦は、選手が専用の雪球製造器を使って雪球を作り、1セット90個、3セットで270個の雪球を投げ合います。１チーム７名の競技者がフォワードとバックスに分かれ役割分担しながら相手チームと雪球を投げ合い、相手のコートのフラッグを奪うゲームです。非常にエキサイティングで、頭脳プレイが必要な競技です。私たちは、このスポーツ雪合戦を新しいウィンタースポーツとして、世界中に広めていきます。ぜひ一緒に世界一を目指しましょう。
